Frances Kay Piner Mudd, 75, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:15 AM on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
Frances was born August 12, 1943 in Carteret County, NC and was a 1961 graduate of South Cameron High School. She was a longtime resident of Cameron Parish, lived a number of years in Houston, TX and lived the past ten years in Lake Charles. Frances worked as a property manager for most of her career. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She was an avid reader and loved to read novels, her devotionals and the New York Times. Frances also enjoyed traveling and meeting new people and friends. She was very outgoing and will be remembered for always having a positive outlook on life; she will be missed dearly.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Amanda Boudreaux and husband Randy of Lake Charles and Aimee Mudd of Houston, TX; sister, Shirley Chadwick of Beaufort, NC; brother, Elvin Piner, Jr. of Williston, NC; nieces and nephews, Andrea Couch, Jesse Piner, Penny Boudreaux and Kelly Loftis; her grandchildren, Renee Boudreaux, Daliah Boudreaux, Morgan Rodgers, and Blake Mudd; her beloved dog, Starry; and numerous close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Viva Davis Piner and Elvin Hughes Piner, Sr.
Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The Very Reverend D. Seth Donald, Rector will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service.
