Francis Evers McVay, 99, of Montgomery, Louisiana and formerly of Westlake, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday April 27, 2025, following a brief illness.
Francis was a native of Haynesville and a longtime resident of Westlake. She retired as a nurse from West Cameron Calcasieu Hospital after many years of dedicated and devoted service to the many patients she served. Of the Mormon faith, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louetta Jones Evers; beloved husband, Charles Edward McVay; daughters, Dawn McVay and Debra Ashton, son, Michael Clyde McVay, Sr., sisters, Opal Smith and Marjorie Boles, grandson, Michael Clyde McVay, Jr.
She leaves to her memory, her daughters, Patricia Summerall and Karen Collins; sons, Timothy C. McVay and Jonathan W. McVay; 8 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will on Friday May 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by Burial at Westlake Memorial Gardens
