Lake Charles – Frank Wendell Poole, born on August 6, 1947, son of the late Frank Wilford and Dozie Marie (Devall) Poole, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the age of 72.
Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with friends. Frank was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His outgoing and joyous personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Wendy Funk; Lori Kay and husband, Cody; grandchildren, Hans Alexander Funk, XV and wife, Jessica; Matthew Zane Kay and Kayla Nicole Kay. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Shane Wendell Poole; siblings, Dolores Mattison; Gaynell R. Lamb; son-in-law, Hans David Funk, XIV.
Memorial services will be held at the pavilion of The Vineyard Church, 9541 Gulf Highway, Lake Charles, on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10 a.m. with Pastors Rick Batchelor and Zack Rodriquez officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. His remains will be laid to rest in Pujol Cemetery, Big Lake, LA.
Due to new restrictions from the State of Louisiana, Governor John Bel Edwards, the gathering capacity will be limited to 50 people and face masks will be required.
