Frank Miller Riling

Frank Miller Riling, 100, passed away on November 1, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Lake Charles on December 4, 1924, to George L. Riling and Mathilda Miller Riling.

Frank graduated from Landry Memorial High School in 1943 and shortly after graduation he joined the Army Air Corps to become a pilot. Upon his return from the service, he played football for McNeese Jr College while completing his degree. He entered the workforce working for Schlumberger and then spent many years in the chemical lab at Citcon Oil.

Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by nephews William Holloman, James Cleaton and niece Paula Holloman. He is survived by his 8 nieces and nephews: Jean Cleaton Kaufman, Teeter Cleaton Scheufens, Mary Cleaton Mouton, Margaret Cleaton, George Riling, Trudy Riling Henke, Cathy Riling Daughenbaugh, Deanie Holloman, Julie Holloman Trouth and many extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025, until the Memorial service which begins at 6:00pm, all at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605.
