Franklin Roosevelt Crouch

Franklin Roosevelt Crouch, 92, of Sulphur, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by his family. Frank was a proud graduate of Sulphur High School, class of 1951. He then went on to attend McNeese State University. Frank was a member of the American Legion. While in high school as a member of FAA, Frank helped build Sulphur High School's first rodeo arena. The following year the first high school rodeo was held. Frank continued to participate in the Rodeo Club and went on to ride for McNeese State University and his events were bareback riding and bull riding. He worked for over 40 years at Firestone/Bridgestone as a supervisor. Frank enjoyed a variety of hobbies including, Fishing, golf, gardening, and traveling. Those left to cherish Frank's memory are his loving wife of 72 years, Carol "Betty" Crouch; daughters, Susan Assunto (Richard) of Sulphur, Catherine Nogle of Newton, TX., Karen Clifton (Paul) of Sulphur, Tommie LeDoux (John) of The Woodlands, TX.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Assunto Germany, Jacob Guillory, Jeffrei Anne Clifton, Carey Thomas Clifton, Samuel LeDoux, Eric LeDoux; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Crouch of Missouri City, Tx.Funeral services for Frank will be held at 11 AM, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will receive guest from 9 AM until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur with Rev. Jo Ann Cooper of Henning Methodist Church officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gene Hanchey for being a devoted friend. Also to his breakfast group friends at Pitt Grill, Crackle Barrel, and Southern Spice over the years. A special thanks to Southern Home Health and Heart of Hospice for their care and support during these trying times.
