Franklin Wayne Spicer

September 10, 1952 — March 30, 2015

Franklin "Frankie" Wayne Spicer, 62 of Sulphur passed away on March 30, 2015 in the Sulphur hospital. He loved sports and would watch almost any type of sports on television. Frankie played recreation softball and coached boys recreation baseball for many years. He liked the Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers. Frankie was a fisherman most of his life and worked as a fireman as well in Sulphur for a few years. Later on, he worked construction. He was a native of Bay St. Louis, MS, and also lived in Texas for a few years as well before moving to Louisiana where he resided until his death. Frankie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Odilia "Dee" LeBlanc Spicer of Sulphur; a son, Scott Spicer and wife Allyson; two daughters, Deanna Spicer Reeves and husband Roger and Jennifer Spicer Primeaux and her companion, Patrick Stetz all of Sulphur; 4 sisters, Debra Spicer Kittner and husband Rodney of Carlyss, Nell Roper and husband Bobby of Sulphur, Shelby Register of Walterboro, SC, and Peggy Dossett of MS; 2 brothers, Chester Spicer and his wife Kay of Sulphur and Marshall Spicer and wife Pat of Hackberry; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren with the seventh great grandchild due in May. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Wiley and Alberta Schultz Spicer; and 2 sisters, Karen Spicer Fodrie and JoAnn Henningson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 9 till time of the service.
