Fred "Tae" Marcantel Jr.

Fred “Tae” Marcantel, Jr., born April 15, 1941, the son of the late Fred Marcantel, Sr. and Audrine Pousson Marcantel, passed away November 16, 2017, at the age of 76.
“Tae” was a graduate of Fenton High School and served in the U. S. Navy. He was a rice and soybean farmer, worked as a logger and truck driver. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors are his spouse, Patricia Parker Marcantel; daughters, Donna Fontenot (Sammy) of Iowa, Debora McNicol (David) of Kinder and Tammy Franklin (Dwayne) of Iowa; sisters, Janet Fewell (Henry) of Lake Charles and Maxine Reed of Fenton; grandchildren, Hannah Fontenot, Brittani Torregano, Megan, Zachary & Heidi Paxson, Luke & Gus Fontenot. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Taelor Jackson and brother, Russell Marcantel.
Funeral services are Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Father Rojo Antony officiating in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in LeFranc Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
