Lake Charles – Fred Mitchell Myers, Jr., born July 9, 1965, son of the late Fred Mitchell Myers, Sr., and Freda (Courville) Myers, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA, at the age of 53.
Fred was a graduate of Bell City High School and was a long-time employee at Hydrochem PSC. He loved being with his family and friends, listening to music and cooking. Fred was a quiet, gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor.
Fred is survived by his children, Emily Landry (Seth); Zachary Myers; Travis Myers; all of Lake Charles; siblings; Ernest Myers of DeRidder; Anna Nunez (Dwayne) of Iowa; Robin Richard (Reggie) of Lake Charles; Cliff Myers (Monica) of Moss Bluff; Shirley Streams of DeQuincy; Dieago Myers of Hayes; Sarrita Fontenot (Chris) of Hayes; granddaughter, Brynleigh Landry; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved pets.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Idell Courville.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 1 p.m., with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Visitation begins Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
