Freda Monceaux

Freda Ann Monceaux, 52, of Lake Charles died on Monday, February 16, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Monceaux was a native of Lake Charles and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Barbe High School. Mrs. Monceaux worked for Stine Lumber Company in the paint department for many years. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Megan Gilbert of Houston, TX and Kayla Gilbert of Cleveland, TX; her mother, Bernice Monceaux of Lake Charles; three grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Monceaux of Lake Charles; and a sister, Donna Monceaux of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, Sanders Monceaux. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
