Gabriel Paul Ardoin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gabriel Paul Ardoin, who departed this life on August 18, at the age of 38. Born on December 28, 1987, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gabriel grew up in the small community of Welsh, where he would become known as a gentle giant with a heart full of kindness.

A proud graduate of Welsh High School, Gabriel faced life's challenges with resilience and grace, overcoming obstacles while leaving a lasting impact on those around him. Although he lived with disabilities, he never allowed them to hinder his generosity and spirit. He found joy in simple pleasures-fishing, listening to music, riding his ATV, and, most importantly, tending to his beloved animals, which he cared for with unwavering love.

Gabriel's life was illuminated by his deep affection for his family. He cherished his parents, Dennis and Anna Ardoin, his brothers, Christopher Thibodeaux and Benjamin Ardoin (Kayce), and the undeniable joy that came from being an uncle to Brantley and Paisleigh Ardoin. To his niece and nephew, Gabriel was not just an uncle; he was their hero, their confidant, and a constant source of support and laughter.

Gabriel had a unique ability to connect with those around him, always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends. His warm heart and genuine nature made him a beloved member of his community, and he will be deeply missed.

All who knew Gabriel are invited to join us in celebrating his life. A funeral service will be held at Roanoke Baptist Church on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM. There will be a visitation on Saturday, August 22, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM in the church. Gabriel will be laid to rest in Lacassine, LA.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Gabriel not only for his gentle heart but also for the countless moments of joy he brought into our lives. His memory will forever live in our hearts.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph Ardoin, Jenne Reed, Paul Leger, Sr., Zena Beard; his uncle, Larry Leger; and his cousins, Cory Hillburn, Jeremy Roberts.
