Gay "Mawmaw" Reeves

Gay Reeves, born on April 3, 1944, daughter of the late Grover and Gladys Lawley Vines, passed away June 22, 2024, at the age of eighty surrounded by her loving family.
Gay graduated from Concord Alabama High School and worked as a registered nurse. She worked for Johnson Food Mart for 10 years, she worked at Sulphur Wal-Mart before full retirement. Gay enjoyed dancing, going to the casino, beaches, and loved her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She loved spending time with all of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marlene Marchant; brother, Charles Morgan; nephew, Jeff Marchant, and granddaughter, Sammie Jo Adams.
Survivors are her daughters, Tracy Rice and Carolynn Adams (Sammie); grandchildren, Brandy Hudson (Nigel Johnson), Jennifer Bennett (Paul Powe), April Rice (Dwayne Jackson), Terrence Rice (Ashley), Amanda Thompson (Waylon Vanny); great-grandchildren, Brittany Hudson (Craig Broughton), Taylor Hudson (Darien Carrier), Kamren Hudson, Justice Johnson, D’Andre Rice, Da’Siah Rice, Waylon Rice, Kenzi Thompson, Jo Vannoy, Kennedy Powe; great-great grandchildren, Dwayne, Brylen, Jusiah, X’Zavier, Brielle,
A Celebration of Life will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 2 p.m. A gathering of friends and family begins at 1 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
