Gene Arthur Little

Gene Arthur Little, 76, of Hackberry passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 23, 2018.

Gene was a lifelong member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, serving as an Extraordinary Eucharist Minister and on the Pastoral council. He was a devout Catholic who attended Mass daily. Gene was 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the cursillo movement. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a self-employed general contractor.

Survivors include his two sons, Matthew Thaddeus Little and wife Teresa A. of Minden, LA and Michael Hampton Little and wife Angela I. of Texarkana, AR; one brother, Robert Little of Ponchatoula, LA; grandchildren, Tyler Thomas Little and wife Melody of Fort Worth, TX, Kristin Amber Little of Minden, James Dee Little, Lawson Lee Little and Emme Kate Little all of Texarkana; and two great grandchildren, Stephen and Annabelle of Fort Worth, TX. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Evie Little; and two brothers, Clifford Little and William “Bill” Little.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, April 27, 2018 in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Hackberry. Visitation will be held 5 – 8pm Thursday, April 26, 2018, with a Cursillo Rosary at 7pm and resume Friday 8 am until time of service.
