Geneva Marie Guillory, 62, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in a local hospital. Born on April 27, 1963, in Welsh, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edmond and Ivine Benoit Deshotel.
A graduate of Bell City High School, Geneva was known for her vibrant spirit and joyful heart. She found happiness in dancing, sharing meals at her favorite restaurants, and spending quality time with her cherished family and friends. Her radiant smile could light up any room and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of sixteen years, Kevin Guillory; and her siblings: Elgina Manuel and husband Stephen, Belinda LeBlanc and husband Carl, Rhonda Suire and husband Joseph, Henry Trahan Jr., Steven Trahan and wife Cynthia, and Ramonica Leger and husband Bradley; step-son, Chad Guillory. Geneva also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a time of remembrance beginning at 5:30 p.m. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
