George Anthony Seiford

George Anthony "Tony" Seiford, 70, of Moss Bluff, LA, died at 4:56 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in a local hospital. Mr. Seiford was born November 4, 1944 in Blytheville, AR and lived in Moss Bluff for most of his life. He served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He worked as a boilermaker and retired from Basell after over thirty years of service. Following his retirement, he worked at Lake Charles Toyota as a greeter in the service department for a number of years. Mr. Seiford was an avid bowler, beginning at the age of 13, and was a member of the ABC/CBA for over thirty years. Throughout the years, he received numerous awards, including an induction into the CBA Hall of Fame. He holds the record for the Highest Series, bowling 867 in 1982. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and playing golf. He will always be remembered as a gentle, kind man with a dry, but loving sense of humor. Mr. Seiford is survived by his daughters, Dana Reed and husband Todd, Missy Nunez and husband Chris, and Becky Guillory and husband Kenny, all of Moss Bluff; sister, Pamela S. Courville of Lafayette, LA; brother, Ron Seiford and wife Tina of Iowa, LA; grandchildren, Hanson and Harrison Augustine, Lexi and Lindsay Reed, Brandt, Brooke and Brennon Nunez, and Gavan Guillory; his beloved dog, Dago; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Seiford; parents, George and Harriet Seiford; and a brother-in-law, Sim Courville. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service. Even in death, he continued to help others through his organ donation.
