George Daniel Baker, 56, of Ragley passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in his residence.
Mr. Baker was born on August 11, 1968 in Demopolis, AL where he attended Demopolis High School. He moved to Ragley in 2017 to work for Turner Industries as a rigger, a skill he perfected after more than 25 years of service.
He was deeply cherished by his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, always going out of his way to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be remembered for his outspoken nature. Mr. Baker was enthusiastic about raising and showing his beloved Old English Bulldogs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Michelle Baker of Ragley; children, Tyler Vidrine (Kylie), and Justin, Kaleb, and Destiney Vidrine all of Moss Bluff; his father, Blair Baker and step mom, Frances Baker of Hohenwald, TN; a sister, Della Hawkins (Eddie) of Gallion, AL; grandchildren, Hadley, Kynley, and Kamille Vidrine; four nephews; three great nephews; and three great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Baker; grandparents, Ezelle and JW Webb and Roy and Regina Baker; and a brother in law, Kelly Hawkins.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. There will also be a burial service in Demopolis, AL.
