George Eldridge

George Eldridge, born on January 26, 1939 in Yazoo City, MS, son of the late Ernest and Allie (Guthrie) Eldridge, passed away in his residence on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the age of 82.
George moved to the Lake Charles area from Yazoo City, MS in 1966. He and his late wife, Vicky owned and operated V & M Metal Works. He attended Open Gate Cowboy Church. He loved playing pool and enjoyed bowling. Most of all, spending time with his family brought him great contentment.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vicky Eldridge, and numerous siblings.
Survivors are his son, Jeff Eldridge and wife, Christine; grandchildren, Allison Zinskie and husband, Chris; Dusty Eldridge and Sara Thompson; Chad Peloquin and Rose Taylor; great-grandchildren, Avery Eldridge; Zoey and Miley Zinskie.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Stagg officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin on Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
