George Leland Crawford

George Leland Crawford, 90, of Sulphur passed away on March 20, 2017 surrounded by his family. George proudly served his country in the U S Navy, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and grand cat, Dusty.

George is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Crawford of Sulphur; his five children, James Richard Crawford and wife Ginny of Michigan, Donald Wayne Crawford and wife Myrna of Orange, TX, Charles Eugene Crawford of Sulphur, Ricky Leland Crawford and wife Maria of Conroe, TX, and Barbara Roberts and husband Dan of Sulphur; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; 4 sisters, Doris Beauchamp, Bertha Thornton, Dosey Smith, and Libby Vincent. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry David Crawford; and his parents, Leland Charles and Inez Crawford.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1 P.M. at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss with Rev. Ronnie Estes officiating under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
