Georgeannie "Gina" Gotreaux

Welsh – Gina A. Gotreaux, born January 20, 1951 in Lafayette, daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Racca) Bergeron, passed away in a local hospital on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the age of 67.
Gina was a graduate of Nederland High and Lamar with a degree in Business. She worked for Home Depot for 14 years. In her spare time, Gina enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Gotreaux of Welsh; children, Hoye Folks (Lacy) of Iowa; Rita Morgan of Port Neches, Texas; step-children; Tracy Lopez (Randall); Bridget Miller (Sergio); Chad Gotreaux (Kathy); all of Roanoke; Nicholas Gotreaux (Christie), of Lacassine; 3 sisters, Solange Aldridge; Martha Foxworth; both of Nederland; Glinda Rigmaiden, of Lake Charles; 13 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew; Anthony Rigmaiden; godfather, Douglas Verrett.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery.
Visitation is in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
