Georgia Elaine Lebleu Aucoin

Georgia Elaine LeBleu Aucoin, 86, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in her residence.

Mrs. Aucoin was born September 6, 1930 in Calcasieu Parish, raised in Big Lake and lived in Lake Charles for all of her adult life.  She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, where she was a part of Come Lord Jesus, attended Mass daily and served as a Lay Minister.  She was the owner and operator of Abates Tamales for twenty-two years, retiring in 1995.  Mrs. Aucoin was active with the 2nd Avenue Senior Citizen’s Group and loved to play Bingo.  She also enjoyed gardening, watching birds and watching her flowers bloom.  She loved to spend time with her friends and was part of the Lift Program for Widows.  She had a passion for volunteering her services to the Autism group and sorted countless numbers of beads for them.  She enjoyed music, especially French music, and loved her family dearly.

Mrs. Aucoin is survived by her daughters, June Ann Bailey and husband Kenneth, Helen Marie Parker and husband James, Janie Anita LaCasse and husband Luther, all of Moss Bluff, and Karen Gail Duhon and husband Howard, Jr. of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Duhon; mother, Ozite LeBleu; sister, Dorothy McComb; and brother, Joe Eugene LeBleu.

Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Margaret Catholic Church.  Father Vijaya Prakash will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
