Gerald Belshe

Gerald Wayne Belshe, 70, of Sulphur, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Gerald was born and raised in Sulphur and was a longtime, faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church. Music was one of the great joys of his life. As a dedicated member of the Sulphur High School band, Gerald developed a deep love for music that would shape his life's path.

That passion led to a forty-year career as a freelance musician. Gerald was a talented multi-instrumentalist, known for his ability to play bass, keyboard, and many other instruments. His musical gifts and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of fellow musicians and friends throughout the community.

Gerald is survived by his son, Jonathon Greer; his brothers Randy Belshe, Steve Belshe, and Dean Belshe; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Helen Belshe.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Rosewood Nursing Facility for the love, compassion, and care shown to Gerald over the past year.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
