Gerald Keith Dartez

Gerald Dartez, 59 of Ragley passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Arkansas. Mr. Dartez was a life-long resident of Ragley and had owned and operated Kinder Glass for many years. He had recently retired and moved to Arkansas. He had been a volunteer fireman for many years and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Mr. Dartez is survived by the love of his life, Sheila Cooley of Belle Vista, Arkansas; children; Kayla, Cammie, Caleb Cooley; two grandchildren; brothers, Luke Dartez of Carlyss, Robert Dartez of Moss Bluff, Wayne Dartez of Ragley; sister, Nita Conner of Ragley; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Leon and Mary Lou Dartez of Ragley; nephews; Derick Wayne Dartez of Ragley and Mike Dartez of Iowa.

Graveside services will be in the Dartez Cemetery on 2914 Texas Eastern Rd. Ragley, LA. at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022. Reverend Ben Lyons will be the officiant. Per Mr. Dartez’s wishes there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his memory. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson and Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
