Gerald James Geheb

Gerald James Geheb, 80, of Lake Charles, passed away at 10:44 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mr. Geheb was born June 22, 1940.  He was a graduate of Westlake High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy.  Retiring almost twenty years ago from Northrop Grumman, he worked many years as a fabricator at Chennault.  He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and was a devoted family man.  He had a love for model cars, building over 600 models throughout his life and was an active member of the S.W.A.M.P. Model Club.

Mr. Geheb is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary “Betty” Richard Geheb of Lake Charles; sons, Gary Geheb of Lake Charles, David Geheb and wife Anne of Sulphur, LA, and Robert Geheb and wife Paula of Houston, TX; sister, Carolyn Campbell and husband Don Campbell of Westlake; brother, Donald Paul Geheb of Lake Charles; and grandchildren, Aaron Geheb and Christopher Bahnsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Edward and Marie Ovelia Faul Geheb; brother, Alvin Ray Geheb and his wife, Frances Geheb; and stillborn son, Joseph Geheb.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 30, 2020 at St. Margaret Catholic Church.  Father Nathan Long will officiate.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a rosary at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff.
