Gerald Adam Prejean, a native of Lacassine, and a resident of Lake Charles, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 in his residence surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Gerald was born in Lake Charles on June 3, 1963, son of the late Simmon and Edna Victorian Prejean. He worked as a carpenter, and in maintenance for the pipeline industry. Gerald possessed a happy go lucky, full of life individual. He was always willing to help anyone in need and maintained a very humble spirit. His siblings took immense pride in spoiling him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Maria Celestine, and Delores Evans.
Survivors are his children, Gearld Brandon Prejean and Adrian Monique Simon; siblings, Diana Brown (Johnny), Regina Ducre-Boutte, Sabridge Prejean (Yvette), Ricky Prejean (Pamela), Stella Vital, Michelle Bellard (Philbric, I); bonus brother, Zeke Antoine; 5 grandchildren, 2 aunts, Ruth Dugas and Dorothy Charles, and a host of nieces and nephews that will cherish his wonderful and blessed memory.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
Pallbearers assisting in his service are Philbric Bellard, II, Jacobey Brown, Ricky Brown, Justin Vital, Ira Celestine and Simmon Celestine. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Brown, Philbric Bellard, I, Terrance Brown, Jonathan Brown, Kevin J. Reed, Kevin T. Reed and David Prejean.
