Geraldine Begnaud

Geraldine Begnaud, born on August 29, 1933, daughter of the late Alcee and Blanche (Richard) Boudreaux, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at the age of 87. She was a resident of the Lake Charles area for 48 years.

Geraldine attended Lawtell High and worked as a hairdresser. She attended St. Joseph Mission Chapel in LeBleu Settlement.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Begnaud, Sr., son, James W. Begnaud, Jr.; 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Tony) Richard; Susan Clement; Jenny (Mark) Langley; sons, Keith (Ginger) Begnaud; Dannis (Kim) Begnaud; David (Deidre) Begnaud; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; grandchildren, Chris Castille; T. J. Prudhomme; Dusty Prudhomme; Joe Begnaud; Matt Langley; Jania Sonnier; Lauren Begnaud; Brittany Corbello; Sarah Prudhomme; Jordon Begnaud; Stefani Begnaud; Emmeline Richard; Alex Begnaud; Leah Begnaud; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. and resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
