Geraldine (Dean) Vezina

Geraldine (Dean) Vezina, 58, of Lake Charles, died May 3, 2016 following an automobile accident.

Dean was a native and life-long resident of the Lake Charles area. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School and a homemaker. She loved football and her Saints and Raiders. Dean had a kind heart, loved being around and caring for children and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Joseph Gauthreaux. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her children, Jason Vezina; Jody Fawvor (David Gibson and daughter Karli); mother, Donelda Thibodeaux Gauthreaux; sister, Debra Richard (Billy); brothers, Mitchell Gauthereaux; Carl Gauthreaux (Pam); and Steven Gauthreaux (Barbara), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday May 5, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. As to her wishes, her remains are to be cremated with no formal services to be held.
