Iowa – Loving wife, mother grandmother, aunt & friend, Geraldine Ardoin Robideaux, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in a local hospital surrounded by her family.
She was a graduate of Iowa high school and was a member of St Raphael Catholic Church, where she was a Catholic daughter. Geraldine was in food service as an owner and operator for 20 years. She will be missed for her kindness and always thinking of others.
Survived by her husband of 60 years James Robideaux; 3 children, Karen Gothreaux and husband Lynn, Vickie Chance and husband, Greg, and Darrell Robideaux; 4 grandchildren, Misty Bourgeois-Avriett, Cade Davis, Tanner Davis, and Macy Davis. Geraldine is also survived by one brother, Michael "Mickey" Ardoin and wife, Flo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson & Eva Ardoin and brother, Wilson "Papoose" Ardoin.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. with The Very Rev. Reuben Buller officiating in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery- Lacassine. Visitation begins Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with a rosary at 12:30 p.m.
