Geraline C. Deshotel, born in Lake Charles on March 10, 1946 to the late James L. Chesson, Sr. and Gladys L. Mays, passed away in a local care facility on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 71.
Geraline was a graduate of Marion High School and of the Catholic faith. She worked for Rabideaux’s and enjoyed puzzle books and watching television.
Survivors are her children, Mark Deshotel (Kay), Vanessa Deshotel (Max) and Veronica Deshotel LeBleu (Mitch); 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlotte Firmin (Lewis) and James Lamar Chesson, Jr. (Julie).
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Garrick Deshotel.
A gathering of friends and family will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa.
