Gerlinde Maria "Linda" Lebaron

Gerlinde Maria “Linda” LeBaron, 74, of Lake Charles passed away suddenly at 8:41 PM on Monday, November 26, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. LeBaron was born on July 23, 1944 in Zweibrucken, Germany. She met and married Frank B. LeBaron and moved to Verda, LA before moving to Lake Charles in 1962. Mrs. LeBaron began her career as a sales consultant in 1998 for Nissan of Lake Charles and retired from Billy Navarre in 2016. She was a member of the International Club.

She loved to celebrate her German heritage which was very important to her. Mrs. LeBaron also had a love for cats, especially her favorite, Rileigh.

Those left to cherish her memory are her companion for more than 21 years, James Riley of Lake Charles and his daughter, Danika Jones, and grandchildren and great grandchildren; children, James LeBaron of Dequincy, Sylvia Mallett (Marlon) of Iowa, Brian LeBaron of Lake Charles, Frank L. LeBaron (Jennifer) of Anacoco, and Christine Landry (Greg) of Sulphur; sisters, Ursula Weber, Rita Crumb, and Edeltraud Wilson; fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilie Maria Sonntag Gehlbach and Friedrich Jakob Gehlbach; husband, Frank B. LeBaron; son, Robert LeBaron; brothers, Egon Gehlbach and Gerhard Gehlbach; and sister, Karola Muller.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Cremation will follow the services and inurnment will be held at Consolata Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
