Gerri "Janese" Oliver

Janese Oliver, 62, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 24, 2020.  She was born on September 2, 1958 in Lake Charles, LA. 

Janese was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA and attended Sam Houston High School.  She was a homemaker for her 3 sons who she loved so dearly.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed playing her games and listening to the blues.  Janese is a daughter of the late Lamuel and Addis Maxine Oliver.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Oliver; brother-in-law, Dennis Nelson; and brother-in-law, Michael Roth. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Arnold L Johnson and wife Mechelle, Jerimiah J. Johnson and wife Rachel, and Dennis E. Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ray Oliver and Kirk Oliver; 4 sisters, Diane Oliver Nelson, Priscilla Oliver Desormeaux, Rhonda Oliver Roth, and Vera Oliver; and was Nanny to many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. 

A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Johnson family home at 6427 Barton Dr. Lake Charles, LA 70615 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM.
