Gertie Mae Lafleur Fontenot

Gertie Mae Fontenot, 95, of Lake Charles died Monday, March 18, 2013 at a local care facility following an extended illness.

Mrs. Fontenot was born April 21, 1917 in Mamou, LA to Joseph Ozema and Helene O'Connor LaFleur. She was of Catholic faith and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death are three sons, John Randall Fontenot, Robert Wayne Fontenot and Ronnie Fontenot; three brothers and two sisiters. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are a son, Tony Lanier and wife Jackie, Lake Charles; one brother, Curley LaFleur and wife Bernice, Lake Charles; six grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Scott Connor officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou, LA.
