Gertrude "Trudy" E. Daniels

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gertrude "Trudy" E. Daniels, who left us on August 17, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 3, 1941, in Hinsdale, Illinois, Trudy was a cherished daughter, loving mother, beloved grandmother, and devoted sister.

Trudy dedicated her life to her family as a proud homemaker. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in her love for bingo, where she was a familiar face at the Iowa Senior Center, sharing laughter and good times with friends. Her nurturing spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Cheryl LeBlanc; son, William "Bill" (Monica) Daniels; brother, Thomas (Theres) Lukens; sister, Kathryn Jackson; grandson, Christopher Daniels; granddaughter, Sarah (Michael) Trahan; and her great-grandson, Peyton Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Trudy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Trudy's life at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. There will be public viewings on August 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on August 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held on August 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by her burial at Hayes Cemetery.

Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Daniels; her parents William and Gertrude Barker Lukens, and her brother William Lukens, Jr.
