Gladys Crater

Gladys Romero Crater, born on November 23, 1939, daughter of the late Gladius Romero and Ida Gary Romero, passed away in a local care facility January 29, 2022, at the age of 82.

Gladys retired from Walmart as a greeter and was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Cleve Ray Crater, Sr.; son, Cleve Ray Crater, Jr.; daughter, Linda Domingue; daughter-in-law, Laurie Domingue.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Cindy Benoit (Brent Goodeaux); sons, Michael Domingue; Kenneth Domingue; Phillip Crater (Tammy Crater); sister, Shirley Flores (Leffery) grandchildren, Chris Domingue (Tara); Brasen, Jobeth and Nehemiah Domingue; Jeanette Fontenot (Roger); Jessica Crater; Ashley Crater; Nick Benoit; Matt and Abby Crater; great-granddaughter, Brooklynn J. Benoit, and numerous other great-grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will begin Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
