Glenda Joyce and Raymond Curtis Law

Raymond Curtis Law, 85, and Glenda Joyce Law, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by their loving family. Raymond entered eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2025, and Glenda followed on Monday, July 28, 2025. Their unwavering love for each other and their family was evident in every aspect of their lives.

Raymond was born on October 31, 1939, to Winifred and Everett Law. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a clerk and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from McNeese State University. A dedicated employee, he worked as the warehouse superintendent at Conoco for 38 years before retiring. A skilled carpenter, Raymond enjoyed woodworking and could often be found building or fixing something for those he loved.

Glenda was born on March 19, 1943, to Joyce Bonin Scalisi and George Glenn Vanderdoes. She was a talented and creative woman who found great joy in sewing and crafting. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with warmth and love.

Raymond and Glenda shared a beautiful life together and especially enjoyed traveling side by side. Their devotion to one another and to their family was the cornerstone of their lives.

Left to cherish their memory are their children: Steven Curtis Law and wife Joanne, Jennifer Camilla Law Sonnier and husband Jerald, and Kevin Ray Law; grandchildren: Jessica, Kylie, Axel, Jake, Nicholas, Blair, and Gabriel; great-grandchildren: Ella, Jack, Camille, and Axel; Raymond is also survived by his brothers and sister in law, Randall Law and wife Janet and Richard Law and wife Liz and sister in law, Lauren Law; Glenda is survived by her siblings, Leo Scalisi and wife Mary K, Jerome B. Scalisi Jr. and wife Billie, Sheila Scalisi, and Sherrie Scalisi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

They are preceded in death by their parents, their grandson Jonathan Sonnier, and Raymond's brother, Roger Law.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Catholic Church on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with a rosary recited at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Prien Memory Gardens Cemetery.
