Glenn Joseph Vidrine

Glenn Joseph Vidrine, 63, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:17 AM on Monday, November 26, 2018 in his residence.

Glenn was born on August 12, 1955 in Mamou, LA and moved to Lake Charles more than 25 years ago. He attended St. Margaret Catholic Church.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his brother and sister in law on their house boat. Glenn never met a stranger and if you met him you loved him as he loved you. He will be remembered for his cheerful, friendly, and giving spirit and continues to give through the gift of organ donation.

Those left to cherish his memory are a brother, Earsby J. Vidrine of Lake Charles; sister in law, Erma Vidrine of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Mae and Cyrus Vidrine; siblings, Edson “Ed” Vidrine, Sr., Etheline Benoit, and Elaine Veillon; and nephews, Edson Vidrine, Jr and Tim Veillon.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Ray Menard will officiate. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM and will resume on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
