Ms. Deshotel enjoyed family vacations and among her most memorable were those with her children and grandchildren to Washington, DC, Disney World and Destin, FL. She was a talented seamstress, who sewed clothing for her daughter and won a number of ribbons for her entries at the Cal-Cam fair. Ms. Deshotel was also a wonderful cook and she loved feeding her family, especially for Sunday dinners, a much-treasured tradition. She was a lady of grace and prayer who found comfort in raising her children and grandchildren in the Catholic church. She will be most remembered for her kind heart, generosity and loving devotion to her family.
She leaves to honor her memory, three children, Mark David Deshotel of Sulphur, Rachel Ann Deshotel Bertrand (and her husband Clifton "Bubba") of Moss Bluff and Brant Matthew Deshotel (and his wife Danyel) of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Tyler Keith Bertrand (and his fiancé Anna Nicole Daigle), Laiken Nichole Bertrand Little (and her husband Coby), Valeriya Diana Deshotel and Hayden Paul Bertrand; three great grandchildren, Weston Paul Bertrand, Josie Louise Little and Layton James Bertrand and one on the way (Scottie Anne Little).
