Gloria Marie Clement passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, one day before her 99th birthday. She was born on September 12, 1927, in Church Point, Louisiana, to Henry and Eunice Guidry.
Gloria devoted her life to her home and family. As a homemaker, caring for her husband, raising her children, and creating a warm and welcoming home were at the heart of her life’s work. She was an amazing cook, and preparing meals for the people she loved was one of the many ways she cared for her family. Her kitchen and table were places where family gathered, stories were shared, and countless memories were made.
Family was always at the center of Gloria’s life. She treasured time spent with those she loved and especially enjoyed bringing everyone together over the wonderful meals she prepared. In her younger years, she also enjoyed fishing and later trips to the casino, which brought her plenty of fun and good memories. As the years passed, she took great joy in watching her family grow and in spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
Gloria is survived by her son, Terry Clement; daughter, Linda Guillory; brother, Billy Guidry; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Emery Lloyd Clement; her parents, Henry and Eunice Guidry; her brother, Caroll Guidry; her sons, Lonnie Clement, Ernest Clement, and Darrell Clement; and her granddaughter, Yelon Clement.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Stonebridge Place for the loving and compassionate care they provided Gloria during the last two years of her life. They became a second family to her, and their kindness and devotion will always be remembered.
