Gloria Jean Choate Bang, 72, of Cameron Parish, LA, died at 10:46 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in her daughter’s residence.

 

Ms. Bang was born August 17, 1944 in Cameron, LA and lived most of her life in Cameron Parish. She loved cooking, sewing and crafts, but her true passion was for her family and her children.

 

Ms. Bang is survived by her children, Beabe Campbell and husband Frank Goodwin of Picayune, MS, Galene Bang Theriot of DeRidder, LA, Irvin Allen Bang and wife Kay of Lake Charles, LA, Bruce Kyle Bang and wife Julie of Bell City, LA, Ginger Boudoin and husband Terrell of Sweetlake, LA, Estella Marie Bang Mudd of Grand Lake, LA, Desarie Delaine Dixon and husband Samuel James of Lake Charles, and Gloria Ann Bang of Sulphur; brother, Roy Joseph Choate and wife Charlotte of California; sisters, Lorraine Johnson of Grand Lake, LA and Barbara Choate of Iowa, LA; twenty-four grandchildren; and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eluce Joseph and Lelia Marie Choate; sister, Eula Mae Griffith; and brother, Wilson Choate.

 

Her graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Sweetlake-Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Her nephew, Ronnie Johnson will officiate.
