Gloria Jean Morris

Gloria Jean Morris, 82, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025 in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on December 22, 1942 in Kaplan, LA to Joseph Boudreaux and Jeanne Monceaux Boudreaux.

Gloria was devoted to her family and friends. As a mother, she was always there for her sons, both as they were growing and as adults. As a friend, she was always up for dancing, bowling, bingo, and dinner at the casinos. Her dance moves were legendary as many a video showed. Gloria was a member of several organizations in her 82 years and always found a way to make things run smoother and be more enjoyable for the other members of the organizations.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Clarence Morris and wife Kay, Curtis Morris and wife Mary Ann; her grandchildren, Hailey and Jonathan Cradure, Jake and Amelia Herbert, Matt Hebert and Fiance’ Jordan Polito, Joseph and Sarah Morris, Brittney Morris, and Garrett Morris; her great grandchildren, Joliegh, Heath, and Brooklyn Cradure, Beau Hebert, and Skylar Morris; and her siblings, Gussie Doucet, Joseph and Jan Boudreaux Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dale Morris; her parents, Joseph, and Jeanne Boudreaux; and her sister, Gale Boudreaux.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
