Gwenda Sue Bergeron, loving wife, mother, sister and friend, born August 14, 1957, daughter of the late Rollie and Margie (Buller) Palmer, passed away in a local hospital on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the age of 62.
Gwenda graduated from Fenton High; Delta College of Business and Sowela. She attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed arts and crafts.
Gwenda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steven Bergeron; son, Wesley Mallet of Welsh; siblings, Bryan Palmer of Iowa; Connie Abbott of Sulphur and Christine Baccigalopi of Roanoke.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
Due to new restrictions from the State of Louisiana, Governor John Bel Edwards, the gathering capacity will be limited and face coverings will be required.
