Gwendolyn Lindsey Barzar, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 28, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, she spent her life nurturing and caring for her family. Gwendolyn was the embodiment of love and devotion; as a dedicated homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home for her children and everyone fortunate enough to enter her life.

Gwendolyn is survived by her cherished children, son Charles Ray Barzar, Sr. (Christina), and daughters Hilda Ann Barzar and Rhonda Lee Barzar; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren that she adored. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Tony Ray Lindsey. Together, they will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was a dedicated member of the Iowa First United Methodist Church, where her faith and spirit flourished. Gwendolyn found joy in her creative passions, including carving, painting, and diamond art, as well as losing herself in the novels of Danielle Steel. A lover of technology, she delighted in playing on her Kindle, sharing her enthusiasm for learning and exploration. Her beloved pets, Max and Beau, were constant companions, bringing her comfort and joy.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Gwendolyn's life on Thursday, June 25, 2026. A Gathering of Friends will be held at Iowa First United Methodist Church beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, with Rev. Alex Geovanni officiating. Following the service, Gwendolyn will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery.
