Harry Coley Jouett, 63 passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Harry was a 1970 graduate of Sulphur High School. He was founder and first fire chief of Houston River Fire Department. Harry was in the Christian motorcycle association and loved to ride his Harley. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Harry ran Ollie's grocery store years ago on Houston River Road. Harry had a devotion to God. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Harry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynn King Jouett; two sons, Christopher Jouett and wife Kelly and Charles Jouett and girlfriend Christine; one daughter, Amy Transier and husband Jasen; grandchildren, Kristyn and Coley James Jouett and Kandice, Jonah, Morgan and Hannah Transier; one brother, John Jouett and wife Sharon; sisters in laws, Mary King, Sharon Demeritt and husband Danny, Pat Babineaux and husband Carlton and Gwen McFarlain; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Maxine Jouett; and one daughter, Candice Jouett. A celebration of life for Harry will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 4-9 pm at 2808 Ollinz Morgan Road in Sulphur. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 2 pm at Houston River Baptist Church with Reverend Lonnie Gothrup officiating.
