Harry McFarland, Jr., born in Lake Charles on September 5, 1956, son of Harry McFarland and Emily (Broussard) McFarland Neal, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 68.

Harry enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing music, bingo, and being with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, T. Clyde McFarland.

Survivors are his loving wife of 48 years, Elaine McFarland, children, Irving McFarland (Shelley), Walter McFarland, Julie Richard (Jacob), and Edward McFarland; siblings, Lena Simmons, and Howard McFarland; grandchildren, Wyatt McFarland (fiancé, Kynsley), Mary Richard, Kristen Richard, Jacob Richard, Jordan Richard, Landon Chesson, Gabriella Ward, Andrew Mays, Averie McFarland, London Pickering, Landry Pickering, Katelynn Pellerin, Adam Guillory, Cameron Derouen, and Emily Vanicor; great-grandchildren, Auggy Klinefelter, and Parker McFarland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lacassine on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Cursillo rosary recited at 7 p.m., and will continue Friday morning in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
