Helen Ardoin Boone, born in Lake Charles on September 20, 1931, daughter of the late Lionel and Lucille Adroin, passed away in Kaplan on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 93.
Helen was of the Catholic faith. She worked in sales with Avon and often made the President’s Club. She enjoyed watching game shows, especially Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. Her favorite places to eat were Popeyes & Burger King.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Henry Boone; siblings and their spouses, Wilton Ardoin (Zikie), Wilda Abbott (Patrick), Melvin Ardoin (Gerry), James Ardoin (Betty), Gene Ardoin (Darlene), and Bessie Guillot (Nolan).
Helen is survived by her daughter, Janet Figueredo; granddaughter and her children, Stacy Hayes, Megan Broussard (Kierston), Keelan Rhodes, Hanah Hayes, and Joshua Hayes; 2 great-great grandchildren, Aurora &Athena.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Wednesday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
