Helen D. Williams, 87, of Lake Charles died at 7:32 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Williams was born on March 22, 1923 in Bradenburg, KY and lived in Lake Charles for the past 10 years. She was a graduated of Meade County High School, attended Western Kentucky University, and graduated from Spencerian Business College. She then became a school teacher in Meade County before becoming office manager for Phillip Morris Tobacco Company.
She was a dedicated member of St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church. Mrs. Williams belonged to the China Painter's Guild and was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Janet D. Troutman and husband Allan R. of Lake Charles; three nephews, A. Kevin Troutman and wife Debbie, Gary S. Troutman and wife Vanessa, and David Dooley; three great nephews, Clint and Jacob Troutman and Dean Chauffe; one great niece, Megan Troutman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Williams; her parents, Emma Bunger and William D. Dooley, Sr.; two brothers, William D. and Jack Dooley; and a sister, Sue H. Dooley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Bowden will officiate. Visitation will begin on Friday from 12:00 noon until the start of the service. Interment will be held in Cap Anderson Cemetery in Bradenburg, KY at a later date.
