Helen Douget Simmons, 80, passed away on November 29, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly. Helen enjoyed sewing and making craft items. She loved spending time with her family especially all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her three daughters, Roxane Brown (Faron) of Vidrine, Carol Morris (Robert) of Jonesville, LA, and Gail Montie of Sulphur; two sons, Delwin Fuselier of Jonesville, and Robert Ewing of Sulphur; 11grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings, Wilson Douget of Vinton, Harold Douget (Bobbie) of Gonzales, LouAnn Heckard (Steve) of Henderson, TX, Delford Douget (Judine) of Stark, Ronald Douget (Deene) of Vidor, TX, and Viana Scoggins of Tyler, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odibert Clint Simmons; her parents, Felician and Isabel Douget; 3 brothers, Jimmy, Lenis, and Lawrence Douget; and a sister, Dorothy Douget.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Russell Beard officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Starks under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 3-7 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 2, from 8 A.M. until time of the service.Visits: 4
