Helen Marie Oliver Fusilier

Helen Marie Oliver Fusilier, 80, of Lake Charles passed away at 6:15 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in a local care facility.

Born on January 8, 1946, in Crowley, Ms. Fusilier was raised there and attended Crowley High School. As an adult, she moved to Lake Charles, where she made her home for her family. She had a love for dancing and cooking and was happiest when sharing those joys with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa Myers (Donnie), Lori Fusilier, and Crystal Fogleman (Joey); sisters, Dorothy Ardoin (Roland) and Shirley Canter (James), grandchildren, Haley, Zackery, Hayden "Trey", Tanner, Torie, Brianna, and Keelie; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Theresa Oliver; a sister, Jeanette Patin; brother, Leroy Oliver; and a great granddaughter, Remi Tullier.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Lake Charles. Deacon Harold Nixon will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
