Helen Mary Broussard

Helen Mary Broussard, 79, passed away on October 21, 2017 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Broussard spent her life in Bell City as a homemaker and caregiver. She attended Sulphur High School through 1956. She has been a parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for 37 years. She is remembered as a dedicated wife and mother of 7 sons.

She is survived by 5 sons, Arthur “Joey” Broussard and wife Karla, Gabriel “Pee Wee” Broussard and wife Ann, Tony “Jules” Broussard and wife Patricia, Clifford “Poochie” Broussard, and William “Billy” Broussard; 4 brothers, Fred, Andrew, Paul, and Michael Grisby; sister, Ilene Dunn; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Broussard is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Aristile Broussard; her parents, Fred and Mildred Grisby; and 2 sons, Michael Anthony Broussard, and John Paul Broussard.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City, LA at 2PM on Monday, October 23, 2017. Burial will follow at Andrus Cove Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. Father John Payne will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 4PM to 9PM on Sunday, October 22 and will continue Monday morning at the funeral home at 9AM until 1PM. A rosary will be held Sunday evening at 6PM with a Cursillo Rosary immediately following.
