Herbert "Herb" Wayne Ledoux
September 6, 1943 — July 30, 2022
Herbert "Herb" Wayne LeDoux, born on September 6, 1943, son of the late LeRoy and Annie Mae (Morgan) LeDoux, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at age 78.
Herb was a graduate of Marion High School. He faithfully served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. During his time in the U. S. Army, he served as a medic in a military hospital in Saigon, Vietnam. Herb was employed at PPG for 30 years. He was an avid car enthusiast and was a member of the Contraband Corvette Club. Most of all, Herb enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judith “Judy” M. LeDoux; daughter, Dana Michelle LeDoux; sister, Linda Covert (Terry); and 4 grandchildren, Kelsey Hartman, Lindsey Clement, Cadence Hartman, and Bailey Young; 3 great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Cohen, Lane, and Tate.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald Ray LeDoux, and Willis LeDoux.
Funeral services are Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings. Visitation begins Tuesday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
