Hilda Mary Bourgeois

Hilda Mary Bourgeois, born October 18, 1935, the daughter of Tanasse and Mary (Boudreaux) Thibodeaux, passed away November 9, 2017 at the age of 82.
She is survived by two nieces and one nephew, Dianne LeDoux and husband, Jonathan of Creole, Lynn Thibodeaux and wife, Renee of Iowa, and Leona Duhon of Iowa; two god children, Danielle Congleton and husband, Jeremy of Denver, Colorado and Susie Fawor of Grand Chenier. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bourgeois; parents; and brother, Ernest Thibodeaux.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Creole on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Babasino Fernandes officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of the Marsh in Little Chenier. Visitation is Sunday in Scared Heart of Jesus Catholic Church from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday in the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Hilda retired from the Cameron Parish School Board, where she worked in the cafeteria and as a janitor.
