Howard James Krock

Howard James Krock, 62, of Iowa, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2020 in a hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Howard was born May 4, 1958 in Okinawa, Japan.  He grew up in Cary, IL where he was a 1978 graduate of Cary Grove High School.   Howard moved from the Midwest, living in Pennsylvania for a several years before settling in Lake Charles area in 2005.  Howard worked for many years for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department at the Lake Charles Court House where he truly enjoyed his work.   In the more recent years, he worked as a Security Guard for Securitas Security Services, USA.   Howard had a love for eagles, motorcycles and video games, especially City of Heroes.  Howard will be remembered by his friends and family for his kind heart and generosity.  

Howard is survived by two daughters, Samantha Lynn Milhoan (Thomas) of Mesa AZ and Katie Elizabeth Krock of Lake Charles; grandchildren, MacKenzie Mason, Savanna Ordonez,  Kaiden Krock,  Spencer Milhoan, Bentley Milhoan, Addyson Milhoan; sisters, Ronna Felton (Jeff) of Two Egg, Florida, Kim Whipple (Philip) of Lordsburg, NM;  nephews, Tim Bowersox, Jacob Whipple, Brandon Whipple.  Not to be forgotten, friends that loved and supported him throughout the years.      

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Lee Krock and DeLoris Mae Krock; nephew, Steven Krock.   

His cremation was entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
